What Adobe Express is
Adobe Express (formerly Adobe Spark) is Adobe’s quick-design app. It runs in the browser, on iOS and Android, and can be installed on desktop as a Progressive Web App. You start from a template or a blank canvas and create social posts, Reels and TikToks, flyers, resumes, presentations, web pages and PDFs.
What sets it apart from other template editors is its connection to the rest of Adobe: Firefly generative AI is built in, Adobe Stock and Adobe Fonts are available inside the editor, and Photoshop or Illustrator files can be added and kept in sync.
Key features
Firefly generative AI
Generate images from text, generate templates, remove or replace objects, and create text effects using Adobe’s Firefly models. Adobe says these models were trained on licensed content such as Adobe Stock and public-domain content where copyright has expired, which is why it describes them as “designed to be commercially safe.” Generative features use monthly credits.
Templates and assets
Premium unlocks more than 220,000 premium static and video templates, over 200 million Adobe Stock photos, videos and audio files (excluding Premium and editorial collections), and a large Adobe Fonts library.
Editing tools
Remove backgrounds from photos and videos, resize designs for different platforms, animate text and elements, animate characters from audio, generate QR codes and edit or convert PDFs.
Brands and collaboration
Create brand kits with logos, colors and fonts, use Creative Cloud Libraries, comment and co-edit in real time. You can set up multiple brands, though full brand setup is available on the web only.
Content Scheduler
Plan and publish posts directly to social platforms, with unlimited scheduling on Premium.

Best use cases
- Small business marketing: a bakery creates a weekly specials post, resizes it for Instagram Stories and Facebook, and schedules both in one session.
- Creators: a YouTuber designs thumbnails and short promo clips from templates, using generative fill to extend a background.
- Students and teachers: a class builds posters and digital portfolios in the free K-12 edition.
- Design teams: designers build assets in Photoshop, and marketers adapt them in Express without breaking the brand.
How to get started
- Go to adobe.com/express and sign up free with an Adobe, Google or Apple account.
- Pick a template category, such as Instagram post, flyer or video.
- Replace text and images, or use Generate image to create artwork from a prompt.
- Set up a brand kit (web) with your logo, colors and fonts.
- Use Resize to adapt the design to other formats (Premium).
- Download, share a link or schedule the post with Content Scheduler.
Tips and tricks
- Write specific prompts: include subject, style, lighting and composition.
- Watch your credit balance before batch generating; standard edits don’t all use credits.
- Check your Creative Cloud plan first; you may already have Premium.
- Link Photoshop assets so updates flow into every Express design.
